The Opportunity
This Legal 500 recognised firm is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor (2-6 PQE) to join its established London residential property team.
This role is suited to a solicitor who has developed strong technical foundations within a well-regarded residential property practice and is looking to take ownership of a varied caseload while continuing to develop their profile in a supportive and commercially focused environment.
You will work alongside experienced partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of residential transactions for individuals, investors, developers and lender clients.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a busy caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to post-completion, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- Buy-to-let transactions
- New build acquisitions
- Shared ownership matters
- Auction transactions
- Lease extensions and title matters
- Lender representation work
You will advise clients on all aspects of the transaction process, undertake title investigations, review search results and contract documentation, report on title and liaise with lenders, agents, brokers, developers and other solicitors to ensure matters progress efficiently.
The role offers exposure to a broad client base, including HNW individuals, investors and developers, together with opportunities to become involved in business development initiatives and referral relationships.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should ideally have:
- 2-6 years' PQE gained within a recognised residential property practice
- Experience managing their own caseload from instruction to completion
- Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold conveyancing
- Experience handling a mixture of sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving
- A stable career history within reputable residential property teams
Particular interest will be given to candidates from established London, regional, Top 200 or Legal 500-ranked firms with a strong residential property offering.
