About this role

Senior Employment Associate | London

I'm working with a Legal 500-ranked law firm in London who is seeking an experienced lawyer or associate to step into a senior position within a well-established practice. You'll have the chance to work for an impressive and diverse client base, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, high-growth companies, corporates and senior executives.

The Role

Joining a busy and growing team, you'll play a key role in advising a broad range of clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

The practice is predominantly respondent-focused, with a strong flow of work advising employers on:

  • Employment Tribunal claims
  • Restructuring and redundancy exercises
  • Senior employee exits
  • Disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Workplace investigations
  • Day-to-day HR and strategic employment advice
  • Restrictive covenant and post-termination disputes

Alongside this, you'll advise senior executives and employees on exits, settlements and employment disputes, providing a varied mix of claimant and respondent work.

The role also offers exposure to high-quality corporate support work, advising on the employment aspects of M&A transactions, investments and corporate restructurings.

What We're Looking For

This opportunity will suit an employment lawyer with:

  • UK qualified lawyer with 4-6years' PQE
  • A solid background advising employers on a broad range of employment law matters.
  • Employment Tribunal experience and confidence handling contentious matters with appropriate supervision.
  • Experience supporting corporate transactions on employment-related issues or a genuine interest in developing this area.
  • The confidence to take ownership of matters

Most importantly, this role will appeal to lawyers who are ambitious but don't define success solely by billable hours. The firm attracts individuals who enjoy high-quality work, value strong client relationships and want to build a long-term career within a culture that genuinely prioritises its people.
