The firm is an established and highly respected law firm with offices across London and the South East. The Residential Property team is recognised for delivering a high-quality, client-focused service, combining technical excellence with a practical and approachable style.
They act for a broad range of clients, from first-time buyers and homeowners to investors and developers, advising on all aspects of residential property transactions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a talented Residential Property Solicitor with experience in both residential conveyancing and new build transactions.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level residential property lawyer (0-4 PQE) to join a supportive and established team handling a varied caseload of residential property matters.
This role would suit someone looking to continue developing their technical expertise within a collaborative and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and advising clients on a range of residential property matters, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- New build property purchases
- Shared ownership transactions
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- Lease extensions
- Lease enfranchisement matters
- Listed building transactions
- Transactions involving conservation areas
- Residential property matters involving agricultural restrictions
- Supporting clients from instruction through to completion
- Liaising with developers, estate agents, mortgage brokers and other professionals
- Providing exceptional levels of client care throughout the transaction process
- Assisting with business development and maintaining professional relationships
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Qualified Solicitor with 0-4 years' PQE
- Experience handling residential conveyancing matters from instruction to post-completion
- Exposure to new build transactions is advantageous
- Strong organisational and file management skills
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience of acting on shared ownership matters
- Experience dealing with leasehold transactions
- Familiarity with developer-led transactions and associated processes
- Existing relationships with local agents, brokers or other introducers
- Experience working within a high-volume conveyancing environment whilst maintaining excellent service standards
