Senior Employment Associate (7+ PQE)

The Opportunity

I'm working with a modern, fast-growing commercial law firm that has redefined the traditional legal services model. The firm supports a broad range of organisations, from ambitious start-ups and scale-ups through to established SMEs and larger businesses.

Due to continued growth and a significant influx of employment work, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Employment Associate (7+ PQE) to join its highly regarded employment team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an employment lawyer who enjoys genuine autonomy, high-quality respondent work, and the flexibility of a fully remote working environment. The team is made up of highly experienced employment specialists, many of whom bring well over a decade of expertise advising businesses across a variety of sectors, providing an excellent platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The Role

Joining a busy and growing employment practice, you will manage your own caseload with a significant focus on:

• Defending Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing
• Managing complex respondent litigation matters autonomously
• Advising employers on day-to-day HR and employment law issues
• Supporting on senior executive matters, including exits, disciplinary issues, grievances and settlement agreements
• Advising on discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims
• Providing employment support on corporate transactions, including TUPE and wider employment-related due diligence
• Acting as a trusted adviser to business owners, HR teams and senior stakeholders

Given the sustained growth of the team, there is a particularly strong emphasis on tribunal and contentious employment work.

About You

You will be:

• A UK-qualified Solicitor with 7+ years' PQE in employment law
• Coming from either private practice or an in-house legal environment
• An all-round employment lawyer with strong technical and commercial capability
• Particularly experienced in Employment Tribunal litigation and respondent work
• Comfortable running a full caseload with no supervision
• Confident advising senior stakeholders and business leaders
