Mid-Level Employment Associate | London

A leading international law firm with a strong European platform, recognised for advising clients across technology, financial services, life sciences, energy and other innovative sectors is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial lawyer to join their team. This is the chnace to work for a diverse client base ranging from high-growth businesses and household brands to multinational corporates, financial institutions and global organisations on complex domestic and cross-border matters.

The Role

You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a mix of contentious and advisory matters, supporting a range of national and international clients across key industry sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising employers on day-to-day employment law and HR issues.
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to hearing.
  • Advising on discrimination, whistleblowing, misconduct, grievance and disciplinary matters.
  • Supporting clients through restructurings, redundancies and workforce change projects.
  • Advising on TUPE and employment aspects of corporate transactions and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, service agreements, policies and settlement agreements.
  • Advising senior executives and management teams on strategic employment issues.
  • Supporting cross-border employment projects and international workforce matters.
  • Developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Ideally 3-5 years' post-qualification experience gained at a recognised City, national or international law firm.
  • Strong experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Employment Tribunal litigation experience.
  • Exposure to complex advisory work including restructurings, TUPE and employee relations issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience advising clients within sectors such as technology, financial services, life sciences, retail, hospitality, property, sport or professional services would be advantageous.
