Senior Associate / Consultant - Residential Leasehold Enfranchisement

A well-regarded Legal 500-ranked residential property practice is looking to appoint a Senior Associate or Consultant into its London team.

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected residential leasehold and enfranchisement practice with an established reputation across London and the South East.

The Team

  • Recognised for its expertise in residential leasehold and enfranchisement matters
  • Advises a broad client base including:
    • HNW individuals
    • Investor landlords
    • Freeholders
    • Resident Management Companies (RMCs)
    • Right to Manage Companies (RTMs)
    • Developers
    • Leaseholders
  • Strong pipeline of high-quality instructions
  • Collegiate and well-supported environment offering significant autonomy

The Work

The role will involve advising on a broad range of leasehold and landlord & tenant matters, including:

  • Statutory and voluntary lease extensions
  • Collective enfranchisement claims
  • Right to Manage applications
  • Right of First Refusal matters
  • Service charge disputes
  • Major works consultation requirements
  • Block management issues
  • General residential leasehold advisory work

The team is particularly recognised for its expertise under:

  • Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993
  • Landlord and Tenant Act 1987

The work includes a mix of:

  • Advisory matters
  • Transactional work
  • Contentious leasehold issues

The Ideal Candidate

  • Senior Associate or Consultant-level Solicitor
  • Strong background in residential leasehold law and enfranchisement
  • Experience acting for a range of landlords, leaseholders and management companies
  • Comfortable handling both technical advisory work and client relationship management

Business Development

The firm is particularly interested in lawyers who can contribute to the continued growth of the practice through:

  • Existing client relationships
  • Professional referrer networks
  • Managing agent contacts
  • Surveyor relationships
  • Other industry connections

An established following or demonstrable ability to generate work would be highly valued.
