About this role

Senior Business Change Project Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Business Change Project Manager to support a high-profile organisation with the early-stage shaping and mobilisation of a new business model.

This is a senior, business-led change role requiring someone who can take an emerging vision, bring clarity and structure to it, and translate it into a credible strategy, business case and high-level delivery plan.

You will be joining the project at an early stage and working with senior sponsors, stakeholders and team members who may be less accustomed to formal project delivery methodologies. You will therefore need to be a confident self-starter who can provide direction, introduce appropriate governance and build engagement without creating unnecessary complexity.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Shaping the project from its initial vision through to a structured programme of work

  • Supporting the development of the business model, blueprint and business case

  • Translating strategic objectives into a clear roadmap and high-level delivery plan

  • Defining workstreams, milestones, dependencies, risks and governance

  • Working closely with senior sponsors and stakeholders to establish priorities and secure alignment

  • Bringing structure and momentum to a relatively undefined initiative

  • Supporting teams that may be unfamiliar with formal project and change methodologies

  • Ensuring the proposed approach is practical, outcome-focused and ready for delivery

We are looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience delivering senior-level business change or transformation projects

  • A strong track record of shaping and mobilising projects from an early or ambiguous stage

  • Experience developing business cases, strategic roadmaps, blueprints or high-level plans

  • Excellent senior stakeholder and sponsor management skills

  • The confidence to challenge constructively and provide clear direction

  • Strong governance, planning, RAID and dependency-management experience

  • The ability to operate independently with limited oversight

  • Experience delivering change involving people, processes and operating models rather than purely technical implementation

Experience within a complex corporate environment, professional body, higher education, financial services or the public sector would be advantageous.

The role is primarily remote, although attendance in Glasgow will be required approximately once or twice per month.

Salary of up to £70,000, although there may be some flexibility for the right person. We are ideally looking for someone who can start in mid-to-late August.
