A boutique, forward-thinking London law firm is seeking a Senior Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its expanding Private Client Disputes practice. This is an exciting opportunity to take on high-quality, often complex work within a modern, commercially minded environment that values autonomy, flexibility and progression.

The Role

You will manage a diverse caseload of contentious trusts and estates matters, including:

• Will validity challenges
• Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
• Executor and trustee disputes
• Breach of trust and fiduciary duty claims
• Beneficial interest and proprietary estoppel disputes
• Contentious Court of Protection matters

The role offers significant client engagement, the ability to shape strategy across files, and involvement in the team's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Running a varied caseload of contentious probate matters with minimal supervision
• Advising beneficiaries, executors, trustees and high-net-worth clients
• Conducting negotiations, mediations and alternative dispute resolution
• Drafting letters of claim, pleadings, witness evidence and court documentation
• Supporting Partners on complex, high-value disputes
• Mentoring and supervising junior members of the team
• Assisting with business development and contributing to the firm's growth

About You

• 5+ PQE in contentious probate / private wealth disputes
• Strong technical knowledge and litigation experience within the field
• Ability to manage complex matters independently
• Excellent communication and client-care skills
• Commercially aware with an interest in helping develop the department
• ACTAPS membership or progress towards it is advantageous
