A highly regarded, established London law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its thriving Private Client Disputes team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned practitioner to take on complex, high-value work within a supportive, collaborative and well-resourced environment.

The Role

You will handle a varied and high-quality caseload of contentious trusts and probate matters, including:

• Will validity disputes
• Inheritance Act (1975) claims
• Executor/beneficiary disputes
• Trust disputes and breach of duty issues
• Proprietary estoppel and undue influence claims
• Contentious Court of Protection matters

You will have regular client contact and will be trusted to run files with autonomy while working closely with respected Partners within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a busy caseload of complex contentious probate disputes
• Advising executors, trustees, beneficiaries, and high-net-worth clients
• Leading negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and correspondence
• Supporting the wider team with strategy on high-value matters
• Mentoring junior team members as appropriate
• Contributing to business development and the team's continued growth

About You

• 5+ PQE as a Contentious Probate / Private Wealth Disputes Solicitor
• Strong technical knowledge of contentious trusts and probate law
• A confident, strategic litigator with excellent drafting skills
• Ability to handle a complex, varied caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong client-handling skills, especially with HNW and UHNW clients
• Experience with ACTAPS matters is desirable (qualification a bonus)
