The Role

As an Associate/Senior Associate, Insurance & Reinsurance, you will:

• Take a leading role on complex, multi-party insurance and reinsurance disputes, contributing directly to case strategy and client management.
• Oversee and coordinate workstreams across professional indemnity, financial lines, W&I, cyber risks, aviation, and high-value policy coverage matters.
• Work closely with partners on major instructions while having the space to run files independently and supervise junior colleagues where needed.
• Shape litigation strategy, including expert engagement, disclosure planning, and negotiation/ADR approaches across high-value mandates.
• Build and expand relationships with key insurers and brokers, with support to strengthen your market presence and develop your own client connections.

We're Looking For

• A senior lawyer with experience gained at a city, major regional, insurance, or international firm.
• 4 PQE+ with a strong track record handling sophisticated insurance disputes and leading aspects of complex cases.
• Someone confident in delivering commercial, well-reasoned advice and presenting strategic options clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project-management skills, with the ability to oversee teams, manage workflows, and drive matters forward.
• Experience in professional indemnity, financial lines, cyber, transactional liability, or aviation. Broad coverage experience in other areas is also welcome.
