Henderson Scott Finance & Accounting are partnering directly with the Managing Director of a growing accountancy practice in Derbyshire to appoint a Senior Accountant. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to step into a business that is investing in its people and building for the future.

The practice is mid-sized and expanding, with a diverse client portfolio ranging from owner-managed businesses to complex group structures across multiple sectors. As the team continues to grow, this role has been created to support that momentum and to develop future leadership capability within the firm.

The Role

This is a senior, visible position where you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and financial reporting. Working closely with senior management, you will take ownership of monthly management accounts for several larger clients, while also helping to shape and grow this area of the business through 2026 and beyond.

Your Profile

• A accountancy qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate confidently with both clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong technical knowledge
• Able to advise clients

Package & Location

• Location: Derby (hybrid working - 3 days in the office)

• Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
