Role: Property Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer

The Opportunity An established and highly regarded Oxfordshire law firm is seeking an ambitious Property Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join its successful Property team based in Summertown, Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for a property lawyer looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters while having the opportunity to undertake commercial property work where experience permits. Working alongside experienced property professionals, you will have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, contribute to business development initiatives and play a key role in the continued growth and success of the department.

The Property team advises a broad range of clients on residential and commercial property matters and has developed a strong reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice. The firm offers genuine opportunities for progression and encourages its lawyers to take an active role in the development of the practice.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a caseload of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold matters, and remortgages.
- Advising clients on a range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.
- Undertaking commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals, leases and refinancing where experience allows.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, introducers and professional contacts.
- Supporting partners with business development initiatives and helping to grow the Property team.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.
You will likely have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or equivalent legal professional.
- Strong experience handling residential conveyancing matters independently.
- Experience working within the requirements of the CQS scheme.
- Commercial property experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong client care, communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage and prioritise a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- A proactive and collaborative approach coupled with strong commercial awareness.
