PMO Manager - Portfolio Management - Global IT & Change delivery - 9 month contract

Are you a PMO Consultant who has experience of leading portfolio-level governance and executive reporting across global IT and change delivery? Do you enjoy shaping how complex programmes are controlled and steered?

I am working with a well-known Fintech client looking for a PMO Manager to join their team.

You'll take ownership of a portfolio PMO across large-scale technology programmes and transformations. You'll be the point of consistency for how programmes are governed, reported, and improved over time.
What you'll be doing

• Maintaining PMO governance, standards, and frameworks across complex, global technology programmes.
• Managing portfolio-level reporting and executive packs that support Director and C-level decision-making.
• Owning RAID management, controls, and assurance across multi?million pound programmes and portfolios.
• Coordinating and optimising governance forums so they are efficient, outcome-focused, and decision-oriented.
• Driving accurate, consistent programme data and central ownership of key metrics and KPIs.
• Leading continuous improvement of PMO processes, tooling, and maturity across IT and change delivery.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience operating as a PMO Manager within large-scale technology programmes.
• PMO governance in complex, global environments would be ideal.
• Experience supporting multi-million pound programmes, portfolios, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong background engaging senior stakeholders, including Director and C-level.
• Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated ownership of executive reporting and governance forums.
• Comfortable operating at pace in ambiguous, evolving environments with high attention to detail.
• Able to balance control with pragmatism, producing high-quality outputs that require minimal rework.
