An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive to join a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm in its Wokingham office. This is a key leadership role, combining hands-on fee earning with responsibility as Head of Office, offering the chance to shape and develop a successful residential property team.

The Role

You will take ownership of a busy and varied residential property caseload while also leading the Wokingham office. The role requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to maintain and grow key local relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion
  • Acting as Head of Office, overseeing day-to-day operations and performance
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local estate agents and referrers
  • Driving business development and generating new instructions
  • Ensuring high standards of client care at all times
  • Managing workloads effectively to meet financial and billing targets
  • Ensuring full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting and contributing to a collaborative team culture

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5+ years' PQE in residential property law
  • Strong experience within the Wokingham / Berkshire market (preferred)
  • A proven track record of building relationships with estate agents and referrers
  • Excellent technical knowledge of residential conveyancing
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • A client-focused, professional, and reassuring approach
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a busy environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
