Family Lawyer

Location: Portsmouth
Experience: 3+ PQE preferred
Salary: £53,000+ DOE
Working: 4 days office / 1 day home once established

A well-established and highly regarded South Coast law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Family Lawyer to join its busy and dynamic Portsmouth team.

With over 150 years of history and a strong reputation for building long-term client relationships, the firm has an excellent existing client base and an ambitious approach to the continued development of its Family department.

The Role

The successful candidate will take on a varied caseload of private and legally aided Family matters, with particular experience across:

• Children matters
• Financial matters
• Private Family work
• Legally aided cases
• Advocacy and court representation
• Client relationship management

Alongside managing your own caseload, you'll be encouraged to network, develop professional relationships and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the Family department.

About You

The firm is ideally looking for a qualified Family Solicitor with 3+ PQE, although experienced CILEx lawyers who are Fellows and Family litigators will also be considered.

You'll ideally have:

• Demonstrable and varied Family law experience
• Strong experience across children and financial matters
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Confidence with advocacy and court work
• Strong organisational and IT skills
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• A proactive and commercial approach to business development
• The ability to manage a busy caseload effectively
