Full Remuneration Package: £52,000-£68,000 DOE

A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join its established Family team in Portsmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor at 2-7 PQE to join a supportive and experienced team handling a broad range of private family matters.

The firm places a strong emphasis on providing clear, constructive and compassionate advice to clients during what can often be a particularly difficult period in their lives.

The Role

You will handle a varied private family caseload, including:

• Divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships
• Financial matters arising from separation and divorce
• Complex financial and property matters
• Pension and business interests
• High-net-worth financial matters
• Consent orders and variations of existing orders
• Separation agreements
• Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
• Cohabitee disputes and agreements
• Children arrangements and disputes
• Parental responsibility and contact matters
• Applications relating to relocation and removal from the country
• Grandparents' rights and children's matters
• Domestic abuse and related family matters

You will:

• Manage your own caseload with appropriate support
• Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice to clients
• Build strong and lasting client relationships
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Family team
• Maintain high standards of client care
• Contribute to the continued development and success of the Family department

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-7 years' PQE with solid experience in Family Law
• Experience handling a broad private family caseload
• Strong experience across divorce, finances and/or children matters
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• The ability to manage a caseload independently
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A compassionate and professional approach to client relationships
• The ability to provide clear and constructive legal advice
• A collaborative approach to working within a team
