Senior Family Solicitor - Partnership / Director Opportunity

A highly regarded law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Family Solicitor to join its growing team in Farnborough.

This is a genuinely flexible opportunity in terms of seniority. The firm is open to candidates from 3 PQE through to established Legal Director or Partner level, with the key requirement being a strong network, proven business development ability and the confidence to leverage existing relationships to grow a caseload.

For an ambitious 3-6 PQE Family Solicitor with an established network, this could provide a particularly exciting opportunity to step into a more senior position and accelerate their career, with a clear route towards Legal Director and/or Partnership.

The Role

The successful candidate will handle a varied Family caseload, including:

• Divorce and separation
• Financial settlements
• Private children matters
• Cohabitation
• Domestic abuse
• Legal aid matters where applicable
• Court hearings and advocacy
• Mediation and ADR
• Preparing legal documentation, witness statements and evidence
• Liaising with Counsel and other professionals
• Building and nurturing long-term client relationships

Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, the role will involve mentoring and supervising junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals, reviewing work and contributing to the development of the wider Family team.

There will also be a significant focus on business development, including attending networking events, developing professional relationships, contributing to marketing activity and generating referrals.

About You

The firm is looking for a Family Solicitor at 3+ PQE who can demonstrate:

• Strong technical knowledge across Family law
• Proven experience handling financial and children matters
• An established network of clients and/or professional referrers
• A demonstrable track record of business development
• The ability to generate and develop your own caseload
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• The ambition to progress into a more senior leadership position

Candidates already operating at Legal Director or Partner level with an established following are also encouraged to apply.

Salary starts from £62,000, with £80,000+ available at Director/Partner level.

The firm also offers an exceptional bonus structure, designed to significantly reward fee generation and business development. High-performing fee earners are currently taking home an additional £20,000-£40,000 per year through the bonus scheme.
