About this role

A respected regional law firm is looking to recruit an 3+ Employment (Solicitor / Associate / CILEX) to join its established Employment team in Bournemouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to become part of a collaborative and commercially focused practice, advising a broad range of clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The team is recognised for delivering pragmatic, solutions-focused advice and offers exposure to high-quality work, strong client relationships, and genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role

You will work closely with colleagues across the wider firm while managing your own caseload and supporting a diverse client base on a wide range of employment law issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising employers and individuals on a broad spectrum of employment law matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims and employment-related litigation
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, handbooks, and settlement agreements
  • Advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability, restructuring, and termination matters
  • Conducting legal research and developing practical solutions to complex workplace issues
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Handling new enquiries and identifying opportunities to support clients across multiple practice areas
  • Contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives and team development
  • Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate
  • Participating in networking, marketing, and business development activities

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years' PQE in Employment Law
  • Strong experience managing a varied employment law caseload
  • The ability to run matters independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent technical, drafting, and communication skills
  • A pragmatic and commercially minded approach
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • A proactive, resilient, and team-oriented attitude
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional client service
  • An interest in business development and growing client relationships

Experience in immigration law, or an interest in developing expertise in this area, would be advantageous but is not essential.

What's on Offer?

  • £55,000-£75,000 salary, dependent on experience
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Hybrid working arrangements
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Private medical insurance
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Pension scheme
  • Ongoing investment in training and professional development
  • High-quality work within a supportive and collaborative team
  • Clear opportunities for long-term career progression

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm that values collaboration, invests heavily in its people, and provides an excellent platform for ambitious Employment Lawyers to develop their careers.
