Director of Technology Architecture & Data Strategy
Location: Hybrid - London & home | 35-hour week

Salary: £120,000 - £135,000 Per Annum

Overview

A senior leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation's technology architecture, data strategy, and modernisation roadmap. You'll lead enterprise and solution architecture, data platforms, governance, and standards driving technical direction across cloud, integration, and data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the long-term architecture & data strategy.
• Lead Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Data Management functions.
• Oversee cloud architecture (primarily Microsoft Azure), integration patterns, and API frameworks.
• Own technical governance, design authority, and architectural standards.
• Lead data architecture including data lakes, warehouses, APIs, and platforms such as Databricks, Lakehouse, and Microsoft Service Bus.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and security best practices.
• Communicate technical concepts to senior non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, capability development, and team performance.

Experience & Skills

• Extensive senior experience across architecture, data engineering, and technology leadership.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, integration, data modelling, and security principles.
• Strong stakeholder management up to C-suite level.
• Ability to set standards, drive governance, and lead large-scale transformation.
• Strategic, collaborative, and confident influencing across diverse teams.
