Business Analyst - Cyber Security Transformation - Government - 6 month contract (inside IR35) - DV Clearance

I have an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join a major government cyber transformation initiative.

Due to the nature and urgency of the role, candidates would ideally hold active DV clearance or hold active SC clearance and willing to go through DV clearance.

This role is all about discovery, mapping processes, and shaping improvements across critical cyber security operations - from vulnerability management and incident response to threat monitoring and engineering.

You'll work closely with stakeholders to uncover needs, define scope, and turn complex challenges into clear, practical solutions. Ability to manage smaller projects and support larger programmes in a fast-moving, hybrid delivery environment.

What you'll do:

• Run interviews and workshops to capture requirements and uncover hidden opportunities
• Map current and future processes, creating clear visual workflows and data flows
• Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria that delivery teams can act on
• Produce high-quality documentation and artefacts to keep everyone aligned
• Facilitate workshops that bring technical and business teams together
• Act as the link between users, delivery teams, and technical specialists
• Adapt to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches to keep projects on track
• Spot risks and opportunities for improvement across cyber operations

What we're looking for:

• Excellent experience in requirements gathering and process mapping
• Skilled in writing clear, testable user stories
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills - able to bridge business and technical worlds
• Comfortable working in mixed delivery environments
• Highly organised and focused on delivering value under pressure

Nice to have:

• Background in cyber security or IT operations
• Experience in government or regulated environments
• Familiarity with tools like Visio, Miro, or Lucidchart
• Knowledge of frameworks such as IIBA or BABOK
