About this role

Employment Associate

Tech & Life Sciences | Litigation + Advisory | Outstanding Culture
Looking for top-tier employment work without top-tier burnout?
This is a rare opportunity to join a standout employment team advising some of the most innovative technology, engineering and life sciences businesses in the UK and internationally.

Why this role stands out

High-quality, genuinely varied work

  • Roughly 50% litigation / 50% advisory, plus exposure to transactional employment matters
  • Early responsibility on complex, high-profile issues affecting senior leadership and entire work-forces

Tech & Life Sciences focus
You'll work closely with employers operating at the cutting edge of innovation, including listed companies and global multinationals.

Recent work includes:

  • Advising a life sciences business on the highly sensitive exit of a C-Suite executive, involving a KC-led investigation
  • Supporting a prominent client through a large-scale workforce reduction across two UK jurisdictions, combining legal advice with tech-enabled solutions
  • Advising an engineering business facing balloted strike action, posing a serious risk to production
  • Ongoing advice on reorganisations, TUPE transfers, senior appointments, ESG-related employment issues and executive exits

National & international exposure
Work on cross-border matters and strategic projects that go far beyond day-to-day employment advice.
Supportive, partner-led team
You'll work closely with a highly regarded employment partner, known for his practical, thoughtful advice and his ability to cut through complex, high-stakes issues. Approachable and invested in developing junior lawyers, he gives associates direct exposure to board-level decision-making, balancing legal risk with culture, reputation and commercial realities.

Culture that actually delivers

  • Very low average hours compared to the quality of work
  • Genuinely flexible and people-first environment
  • Strong emphasis on long-term development and direct mentorship

About you

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as a qualified lawyer
  • Commercial, curious and keen to work closely with clients
  • Looking for elite work without sacrificing work-life balance

If you want sophisticated employment matters, real responsibility and a culture that supports you, please apply as directed. Alternatively, contact Leila Ramada, for a confidential discussion on 07587731295.
