About this role
We're looking for an experienced Associate to join our Regulatory Advisory & Defence (RAD) team. This is a role for someone ready to lead complex, high-profile regulatory and disciplinary matters, take ownership of strategy, and make a visible impact within the team and for clients.
You'll enjoy autonomy over your caseload while contributing to the broader direction of the team, with opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and influence business development. Hybrid working is available, giving flexibility without compromising collaboration or client engagement.
The Role
As a senior Regulatory (Advisory & Defence) Associate, you'll:
- Lead your own caseload of regulatory and disciplinary matters, advising and defending both organisations and individuals.
- Shape case strategy, instruct experts and counsel, and oversee proceedings through hearings and investigations.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, supporting their development and ensuring high standards across the team.
- Contribute to strategic projects, including business development initiatives, client engagement plans, and process improvements.
- Use modern case management systems and tools to manage complex workflows efficiently, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations.
We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 PQE (or equivalent experience) with strong experience in regulatory or professional discipline matters.
- Proven track record in regulatory or disciplinary litigation; healthcare regulation or student investigations is a plus.
- Excellent legal drafting, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple high value matters simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team management skills, with the ability to take initiative and drive cases forward.
- Commercially minded, confident in client-facing discussions, and experienced in contributing to business development strategies.
What's In It For You
- Full-time, permanent role based in London with hybrid working options and flexible hours (9.30am-5.30pm).
- Competitive salary with exposure to high-profile regulatory and disciplinary matters.
- Significant autonomy and early leadership responsibility, influencing case strategy and team development.
- Opportunities to mentor junior lawyers, contribute to business development, and take a visible role in shaping the team's direction.
- Supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture with access to modern systems, resources, and professional development.
