Server & Storage Engineer - VMware

Our prestigious client is looking for an experienced Server & Storage Engineer to support critical infrastructure projects on a 6-month contract. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server and VMware, with a focus on operational stability, system upgrades, and environment optimisation.

This role will involves overseas travel for a few weeks of the duration of the contract so you will need to hold a European passport.

Key responsibilities -

• Manage and support Windows Server environments including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Administer and maintain VMware, vSphere infrastructure and virtualized environments.
• Build ESX Server and manage migrations from one platform to another
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams on ongoing projects.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams

• This is an umbrella only contract which will require 3 days per week on client site in Hampshire when not travelling.
