The Role:


A leading residential property practice is seeking a highly experienced Senior Solicitor (8+ PQE) to join their busy team. This role is perfect for a seasoned practitioner with expertise in complex and high-value residential property transactions, who is looking to take ownership of significant client matters and contribute to the strategic growth of the department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of complex residential property matters, including high-value sales, purchases, remortgages, shared ownership, and voluntary lease extensions.
  • Advise clients directly, including high-net-worth individuals, developers, and lenders, on all aspects of residential property law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transfer deeds, and ancillary documentation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, associates, and paralegals, promoting best practice and ensuring quality.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, client relationship management, and strategic planning within the team.
  • Provide specialist guidance on complex title, SDLT, Land Registry, and leasehold issues.


Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified solicitor with 8+ years' PQE in residential property/conveyancing.
  • Proven expertise handling complex and high-value residential transactions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising junior lawyers.
  • Excellent client management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercially aware and capable of identifying and resolving complex legal and practical issues.
  • Proficient with case management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
