About this role

£Competitive | Leading Full-Service Firm | High-Profile Creative & Entrepreneurial Client Base

I am working exclusively with a dynamic, sector-focused law firm known for advising some of the most creative, entrepreneurial, and influential clients in the market. The firm combines a modern, collaborative culture with exceptional legal expertise, supporting everyone from innovative start-ups to global organisations, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and household-name talent.
The environment is collegiate, vibrant, and strongly invested in the development of its lawyers. You'll join a firm that offers genuine progression, tailored training programmes, and a culture that empowers ambitious individuals to reach their full potential.

The Opportunity - Private Client & Tax Group

The firm's highly respected Private Client & Tax Group is central to its Private Capital offering. The team advises an impressive and diverse client base, including HNWIs, family offices, trustees, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs. Many clients have international dimensions to their affairs, with particular links to the Middle East and the United States.
Due to continued growth, the team is seeking a Senior Associate (6-8 PQE) to work on a sophisticated mix of domestic and international private client matters within a supportive and high-performing group.

The Role

You will handle a complex and varied caseload, advising on a full spectrum of private client and tax matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting wills and advising on succession planning, including onshore and offshore wealth structures such as trusts, foundations, family investment companies, and partnerships.
  • Advising on inheritance tax reliefs, exemptions, double tax treaties, and strategic wealth planning.
  • Handling cross-border succession issues, conflict of laws, and coordinating with overseas counsel.
  • Advising on tax residency and domicile, income tax, capital gains tax, remittance basis, split-year treatment, overseas workday relief, and wider personal tax matters.
  • Supporting trustees and beneficiaries, including complex restructuring projects.
  • Advising on loss of mental capacity matters and preparing LPAs.
  • Advising on philanthropic structures, charitable law, and impact investment.
  • Managing compliance matters, including transparency, reporting obligations, and anti-corruption requirements.
  • Advising on UK residential property structures, including income tax, CGT, IHT, corporate tax, ATED, and SDLT.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • 6-8 PQE, with high-quality private client experience and excellent academics.
  • Technically strong, commercially astute, and confident advising sophisticated clients.
  • Independent yet collaborative, able to manage a busy workload with sound judgement.
  • Personable, proactive, and motivated, with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in complex private client work.

Apply

This is a standout opportunity for a Private Client Senior Associate looking to join a forward-thinking firm with a premium client base and a clear pathway for career progression.
