Family Solicitor - Modern Family Law (3-6 PQE)
Location: London | Contract: Fixed-Term with Potential for Permanent Role

Are you a dedicated family solicitor with a passion for helping modern families navigate complex legal issues?
A highly regarded, top-tier law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor (3-6 years PQE) to join our growing Family Law department. You will focus on a wide range of modern family matters, including surrogacy, adoption, assisted reproduction, and legal support for single parents and LGBTQ+ families.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop a forward-thinking legal practice in a supportive and socially conscious environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied and rewarding caseload covering modern family law, including:
  • Surrogacy arrangements (UK and international)
  • Adoption (domestic and international)
  • Parental orders and assisted conception
  • Legal support for single parents and LGBTQ+ clients
  • Advise clients with care, professionalism, and in line with current legal developments.
  • Support senior solicitors and contribute to the ongoing growth of this specialist practice area.
  • Deliver high-quality representation in court, negotiations, and advisory matters.
  • Navigate Legal Aid eligibility and processes where applicable.

    Requirements - Skills & Experience


    Essential:
    • UK qualified solicitor with 3-6 years PQE and a strong academic background.
    • Solid experience in family law, especially matters involving modern family structures.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of surrogacy, adoption, and assisted reproduction law.
    • Familiarity with the Legal Aid framework.
    • Either Resolution Specialist Accreditation or Law Society Advanced Accreditation in children or family law.
    Desirable:
    • Interest or experience in international aspects of surrogacy/adoption.
    • Children's Panel Accreditation or willingness to obtain.
    • A developing professional network or existing client base.
