Henderson Scott Finance and Accounting are working with with the Managing Director of a practice in Derbyshire to appoint a Senior Accountant. This is a newly created role to join a medium sized practice reporting into the Financial Controller.

The team are growing, the practice manages limited companies across a range of sectors, from smaller owner managed businesses to complex group structures.

The Role

In this senior position you will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a consistently high standard of financial reporting. You'll work closely with senior management and take ownership of monthly management accounts for several larger clients, with scope to further develop and expand this area of the business through 2026/2027. This role suits someone who enjoys driving operational excellence and contributing to strategic growth.

Your Profile

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) OR QBE with strong people management skills, excellent attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Location: Derby (hybrid - 3 days in office)

Salary - £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
