Job Title: Conveyancing Lawyer
Location: Office-based, Battersea, SW11
Salary: £100,000 pro rata
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:30pm
Employment Type: 6 month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

My client is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join their in‑house legal team on an initial six‑month contract. The role is hands‑on and office‑based, supporting a busy residential property function and playing a key role in the smooth progression of transactions.

There is genuine scope for extension beyond the initial term for the right individual, based on performance and ongoing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of residential property transactions from instruction through to post‑completion
• Conduct title reviews, property searches, and all associated due diligence
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and supporting documentation
• Ensure matters are progressed in line with legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate file management and case records
• Support senior lawyers and partners across the property team as required
• Handle post‑completion formalities, including registrations and SDLT submissions

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' PQE with a strong residential property background / conveyancing
• UK qualified solicitor
• Able to commute to Battersea (SW11) and work fully office‑based
• Proven experience managing a high‑volume conveyancing caseload
• Strong drafting, communication, and client‑handling skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident working independently in a fast‑paced professional environment
• Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office

Desirable

• Exposure to commercial property work (e.g. leases, landlord & tenant matters, or mixed‑use transactions)
