A well-established London law firm is seeking a Residential Property Associate to join its highly regarded private property team. The team advises high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, companies and private lenders on a broad range of premium residential real estate matters.

The role offers exposure to high-value acquisitions, disposals, refinancing transactions and ongoing property management work across prime London and wider UK residential assets. Transaction values typically range from £3m for new-build purchases through to £20m+ for prime residential properties.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload while working closely with senior lawyers on a variety of matters, including:

• Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
• Residential financing and refinancing transactions
• Advising borrowers and lenders on mortgage and security documentation
• Acting on conventional and Islamic finance transactions (experience advantageous but not essential)
• Drafting and negotiating transactional documents
• Preparing reports on title and responding to property enquiries
• SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
• Lettings, licences, deeds of variation and related residential property work
• Managing multiple transactions with demanding deadlines and high levels of client contact

Candidate Requirements

• Approximately 3-4 years' PQE in residential property
• Strong experience handling sales, purchases and mortgage-backed transactions
• Exposure to high-value residential assets and private client work
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to tight deadlines
• Strong drafting, organisational and client management skills
• Commercial approach and excellent attention to detail
• Experience gained within a reputable London or regional practice
