About this role

Residential Property Associate - Solicitor or Legal Executive
Location: Lymington (with flexibility and hybrid working)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time

An award-winning regional law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its well-regarded Residential Property team, based in the picturesque coastal town of Lymington. This is a key Associate-level role within a firm that prides itself on combining high-quality legal work with a people-first culture and a strong commitment to long-term career development.

The Opportunity
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team that specialises in complex and high-value residential property transactions. The team regularly handles matters involving tight timescales, listed buildings, large parcels of land, and complex financial structures. While the team is based in Lymington, their client base extends across London, the South East, and beyond.

This role offers a unique chance to work with a loyal and established client base that often spans multiple generations of the same family. The team places particular emphasis on understanding client objectives, delivering pragmatic and responsive advice, and building lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of high-net-worth and complex residential property matters
  • Provide tailored and commercially sensible legal advice across a broad range of transactions
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively contribute to the development of new ones
  • Play a central role in team growth and business development initiatives
  • Participate in wider firm events, marketing, and networking opportunities

What the Firm Offers:

  • A career-focused and supportive environment with genuine progression to Senior Associate and beyond
  • A flexible and human-first culture, with hybrid working available
  • High-quality work recognised by Legal 500, Chambers & Partners, and The Times' Best Law Firms 2024
  • A strong and stable platform with over 450 professionals across multiple offices
  • A values-driven approach where collaboration and care for clients and colleagues is at the heart of everything

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years' experience in residential property law
  • Experience managing high-value or complex transactions is essential
  • Prior experience supervising junior team members is welcomed, but not essential-interest in developing this skillset is key
  • Commercial awareness, excellent client care skills, and a collaborative mindset
  • A genuine interest in business development and the ability to communicate with warmth and clarity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Residential Property lawyer ready to take the next step into an Associate role within a top-tier team. The role offers both challenge and reward, along with the support needed to build a long and successful career.
