About this role

Residential Property Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer
Location: Bournemouth (with hybrid working)
Salary: Competitive + bonus
Job Type: Full-time

An award-winning regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join its highly regarded Property team, based at a newly established Bournemouth office. This is a rare opportunity for a forward-thinking and ambitious lawyer to play a key role in the development of a new practice location, while also working alongside an experienced and successful team based in Winchester.

The firm offers a supportive and progressive working culture, with a clear focus on personal wellbeing, professional development, and delivering exceptional service.

The Role
This is a pivotal position within the team and the wider firm. The successful candidate will help lead the establishment of the Bournemouth residential conveyancing function, working closely (often remotely) with the Head of Residential Property and colleagues in Winchester.

As well as developing new local relationships and sources of work, the role will involve managing a varied and high-quality caseload of residential property transactions, including:

  • Help to Buy (HTB) and other equity mortgages, HTB ISAs, Lifetime ISAs, and HTB mortgage redemptions
  • Leasehold properties, including shared ownership schemes
  • Right to Buy transactions
  • Investment properties, including HMOs and corporate purchasers
  • Remortgages and Transfers of Equity
  • Probate sales and unregistered land matters
  • Declarations of Trust and property restrictions
  • Occasional support for the firm's plot sales team

What the Firm is Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience
  • Experienced in running files independently and managing a broad conveyancing caseload
  • Familiar with CQS requirements, SDLT essentials, and the Building Safety Act
  • Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise a busy workload
  • A confident communicator with strong client care skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Commercially aware, enthusiastic about business development, and keen to build a profile in the Bournemouth market
  • An excellent team player with the ability to work well across office locations

What the Firm Offers
This firm values its people and supports them in both their personal and professional lives. Benefits include:

  • A clear path for career progression
  • A city centre office in Bournemouth with excellent transport links
  • Hybrid working and a flexible approach to working hours
  • Generous holiday allowance and a competitive salary with bonus scheme
  • Access to private healthcare
  • A calendar of firmwide social events
  • A strong commitment to charitable initiatives and community involvement

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Residential Property lawyer to take the next step in their career within a firm that values quality, collaboration, and growth.
