NQ-2 PQE Public Care Solicitor - London

A leading Legal 500 practice is seeking a dedicated Public Care Solicitor (NQ-2 PQE) to join its highly regarded Family and Children Law team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to specialise in care proceedings, child protection and public law children matters at a firm with a strong social justice ethos.
The Role:

• Advising and representing parents and children in public law care proceedings.
• Running your own caseload under supervision, including advocacy at directions hearings.
• Working closely with counsel, experts, and guardians to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable clients.
• Building strong working relationships with clients, often in highly sensitive circumstances.
• Participating in Legal Aid work and contributing to the wider family department.

About You:

• Recently qualified solicitor (NQ-2 PQE) with seats or experience in family law / children law.
• Passionate about child protection, care proceedings and access to justice.
• Strong drafting, client care and advocacy skills.
• Commitment to legal aid and working with vulnerable clients.
• A collaborative team player with excellent organisation and communication skills.
