About this role

PMO Analyst / Project Manager
Contract Rate: £400 - £450/day (Outside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week in the Glasgow office.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on PMO Analyst to join a fast-paced PMO function supporting a major software development initiative delivered alongside an offshore partner.
Operating at a Project Manager level of capability, this role is strictly focused on execution, delivery, and high-impact reporting. You will work directly with the PMO Lead to synthesise complex delivery data into executive-ready communications, crafting board-level packs and Venture Capital (VC) reporting materials while keeping offshore software delivery governance tight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive & VC Reporting: Take end-to-end ownership of producing high-quality presentation packs for Board meetings, VC investors, and executive steering committees. Translate technical delivery metrics into clear, compelling strategic narratives.
  • Hands-On PMO Execution: Work directly alongside the PMO Lead to handle core operational reporting, status tracking, and performance dashboards-rolling up your sleeves to do the heavy lifting rather than just coordinating.
  • Offshore Partner Oversight: Interface directly with the offshore software development partner to track milestones, analyze progress data, monitor dependencies, and surface critical risks.
  • Data Synthesis & Visualization: Turn raw project data from offshore technical teams into visually engaging, digestible, and accurate slides and reports.
  • Governance & Financial Control: Maintain rigorous oversight of project health, resource utilization, software delivery metrics, and program financials.

Key Requirements

  • Seniority & Mindset: PM-level capability and mindset. Highly autonomous, hands-on, and comfortable managing the full end-to-end reporting lifecycle under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint & Presentation Skills: Mastery of PowerPoint (or equivalent narrative deck-building tools). Proven track record of creating C-suite, Board, and VC investor-grade decks that balance aesthetic quality with deep analytical clarity.
  • Offshore Software Delivery: Solid experience working within software development environments alongside offshore vendor partners.
  • Data Analysis & PMO Tools: Strong analytical background with practical expertise using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar to extract insights for executive consumption.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage up effectively, translating complex technical delivery updates into concise strategic updates for senior leadership.
