The Opportunity An established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an ambitious Newly Qualified Private Client Solicitor to join its successful Private Client team based in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor looking to launch their career within a highly respected Private Client practice. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of private client matters while receiving support and mentoring from experienced practitioners within a collaborative environment. Working alongside knowledgeable and approachable colleagues, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, build strong client relationships and establish a successful long-term career within a firm that is committed to investing in its people.

The Private Client team advises on a broad range of matters including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Tax Planning and Wealth Protection. The department continues to attract high-quality instructions and provides junior lawyers with the opportunity to work on varied and interesting matters from the outset. The firm is committed to professional development and offers a positive working environment where newly qualified solicitors are supported to develop their skills and progress their careers. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with a varied caseload of private client matters including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Providing practical and client-focused legal advice under the guidance of experienced lawyers.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
  • Supporting senior colleagues on complex private client matters.
  • Participating in business development and networking activities where appropriate.

You will likely have:

  • Recently qualified as a Solicitor or due to qualify shortly.
  • Completed a seat in Private Client during your training contract or gained relevant Private Client experience.
  • A strong interest in Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • A proactive, organised and team-oriented approach to your work.
