This global law firm has lawyers located in more than 40 countries, with over 90 offices, throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Clients range from multinational, Global 1000, and Fortune 500 enterprises, start-ups, public sector bodies and governments. The firm regularly help blue-chip sponsors and portfolios companies operating in the mid-market on acquisitions, sale processes and investment deals, both domestic and cross-border in nature.
The Firm's multidisciplinary Financial Services team has demonstrable experience in domestic and multi-jurisdictional mandates concerning regulatory investigations, transactions and fintech, with a burgeoning workload including financial crime issues, banking group restructurings and the establishment of new banks.
The team handles large financial and commercial transactions and complex, cross-border, first-of-a-kind deals. They advise on data protection, crypto regulation, and the growing fintech sector. They also represent banks and financial institutions in litigation before courts and tribunals around the world.
The team's regulatory lawyers advise a across wholesale markets, funds regulation, ESG, use of data and cybersecurity and fintech and payments. Regulatory intervention, investigations and enforcement matters have also become increasingly cross-border.
They advise global financial institutions and companies that offer financial products. They handle the most complex and high value regulatory, risk management and compliance issues around the world. Their experience includes US and EU financial services legislation and UK divergence and approaches driven by the Financial Stability Board, the Bank of International Settlements, IOSCO and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.
As part of the team, you will be assisting clients on regulatory matters relating to investments, anti-money laundering, enforcement actions, reorganisations, asset transfers and matters affecting insurers, non-bank lenders, and other financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Financial Services Regulatory matters gained at a top-tier City practice.
