Family Solicitor (NQ-6 PQE) | Private Family Law

The Opportunity

We are working with a highly regarded, long-established Oxfordshire law firm seeking a Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their Family & Litigation Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ-6 PQE lawyer with experience in privately funded family work to join a friendly, well-established team, manage a varied caseload, and develop their career within a supportive and reputable firm.

The Role

You will handle a broad spectrum of privately funded family matters, including:

• Divorce and financial remedy proceedings
• Separation and cohabitation disputes
• Domestic abuse injunctions
• Civil partnership matters
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
• Private Children Act matters, including child arrangements

You will be responsible for progressing matters from instruction through to conclusion, with appropriate supervision depending on experience level.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising clients clearly and comprehensively across a range of family law matters
• Managing client files in line with professional and regulatory requirements
• Drafting legal documentation
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting team workloads where required

About You

We are keen to hear from qualified Family Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives (NQ-6 PQE) with:

• Experience across privately funded family law matters
• Exposure to divorce, financial remedy, and private children work
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
• Ability to manage matters independently or with supervision as required
• A proactive attitude towards business development and networking
• Advocacy experience (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working with mediators (advantageous)
• Membership of Resolution (desirable)
