About this role

An established and growing Kent law firm is seeking a Dispute Resolution Solicitor (NQ-2 PQE) to join its expanding Litigation team in Tunbridge Wells.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to build a career in dispute resolution within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of contentious matters while working closely with experienced litigators and developing their own caseload.

The Role

You will advise both individual and business clients on a variety of disputes, managing matters from initial instruction through to resolution.

Typical areas of work include:

  • Property disputes, including boundary issues, rights of way, easements, and neighbour disputes
  • Residential and commercial landlord and tenant matters
  • Possession proceedings, disrepair claims, lease renewals, and dilapidations
  • Contentious probate and inheritance disputes
  • Contractual disputes involving the supply of goods and services
  • General civil and commercial litigation matters

Previous experience in property litigation or landlord and tenant disputes would be advantageous, although candidates will be supported in developing expertise across the wider dispute resolution practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing client relationships and conducting client meetings
  • Assessing legal issues and advising on available options and likely outcomes
  • Drafting correspondence, pleadings, witness statements, and court documents
  • Undertaking legal research and case preparation
  • Liaising with counsel, experts, clients, and third parties
  • Managing court deadlines and procedural requirements
  • Attending hearings and representing clients where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant file management
  • Ensuring exceptional levels of client care throughout the lifecycle of a matter

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • NQ-2 years' PQE in Litigation or Dispute Resolution
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Excellent drafting and organisational abilities
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Experience using legal case management systems
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork
