A highly respected national law firm is seeking an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join its renowned and long-established team in London. The Team
The team sits within one of the UK's leading Court of Protection practices and is recognised as a market leader for managing the property and financial affairs of clients who lack mental capacity. Their clients include individuals affected by:
- serious injury
- medical negligence
- birth-related brain injuries
- age-related conditions such as dementia
The work is varied, complex, and deeply rewarding. You will join a group of specialists who pride themselves on delivering compassionate, high-quality support to clients and their families.
The Role
As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload and work closely with senior colleagues on high-value and complex matters. Responsibilities include:
- Managing multi-million-pound settlements via Deputyships and Trusts
- Chairing annual review meetings and liaising with multidisciplinary teams
- Overseeing property purchases, sales and adaptations, as well as wider care arrangements
- Preparing and submitting statutory will applications
- Running a caseload of property and affairs matters with full autonomy
- Supporting the Deputy in delivering tailored, client-centred solutions
- Collaborating with solicitors, paralegals, and external professionals
- Contributing to business development, including converting warm incoming enquiries

About You
The firm is looking for a solicitor who is:
- Empathetic, resilient, and committed to supporting vulnerable clients
- A confident communicator with strong drafting skills
- Able to manage a complex caseload and maintain meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively
- Motivated to make a genuine difference in clients' lives
Requirements:
- Experience in Court of Protection work (property & affairs)
- Strong understanding of relevant procedures
- 4-8 years' PQE (flexible for the right candidate)
- Experience with serious injury or private client matters is an advantage
