A highly respected national law firm is seeking an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join its renowned and long-established team in London. The Team

The team sits within one of the UK's leading Court of Protection practices and is recognised as a market leader for managing the property and financial affairs of clients who lack mental capacity. Their clients include individuals affected by:

• serious injury
• medical negligence
• birth-related brain injuries
• age-related conditions such as dementia

The work is varied, complex, and deeply rewarding. You will join a group of specialists who pride themselves on delivering compassionate, high-quality support to clients and their families.

The Role

As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload and work closely with senior colleagues on high-value and complex matters. Responsibilities include:

• Managing multi-million-pound settlements via Deputyships and Trusts
• Chairing annual review meetings and liaising with multidisciplinary teams
• Overseeing property purchases, sales and adaptations, as well as wider care arrangements
• Preparing and submitting statutory will applications
• Running a caseload of property and affairs matters with full autonomy
• Supporting the Deputy in delivering tailored, client-centred solutions
• Collaborating with solicitors, paralegals, and external professionals
• Contributing to business development, including converting warm incoming enquiries

About You

The firm is looking for a solicitor who is:

• Empathetic, resilient, and committed to supporting vulnerable clients
• A confident communicator with strong drafting skills
• Able to manage a complex caseload and maintain meticulous attention to detail
• Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively
• Motivated to make a genuine difference in clients' lives

Requirements:

• Experience in Court of Protection work (property & affairs)
• Strong understanding of relevant procedures
• 4-8 years' PQE (flexible for the right candidate)
• Experience with serious injury or private client matters is an advantage
