Commercial Property Solicitor / Associate

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor or experienced Property Fee Earner to join a busy and growing property team in Oxford. This role offers the chance to work alongside a supportive and ambitious team, handling a broad range of commercial property matters while playing an active role in business development and the continued growth of the practice.

The successful candidate will manage a mixed caseload of residential and commercial property matters, with a strong emphasis on commercial property work, while developing client relationships and contributing to the firm's ongoing success.

The Role

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters from instruction to completion.
• Advise on acquisitions, disposals, and refinancing transactions.
• Handle commercial leases, lease renewals, assignments, subletting arrangements, and surrenders.
• Act on conditional contracts, option agreements, promotion agreements, and development matters.
• Draft and negotiate deeds of easement and related property documentation.
• Provide advice on landlord and tenant matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, developers, and professional referrers.
• Support the partners in business development initiatives and growth strategies.
• Contribute to the ongoing expansion and success of the property department.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Ideally 3+ years' PQE with a strong background in commercial property.
• Experience managing commercial property transactions independently.
• Strong billing history and good financial management skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client and professional relationships.
• Sound understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory obligations.
• Proficient with case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
