An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2-5 years' PQE to join a well-established and respected law firm in the West Midlands.
This role offers the chance to manage a varied and rewarding caseload across all aspects of Private Client work, including wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney and estate planning. You'll work closely with clients, providing practical, empathetic advice while building long-term professional relationships.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of Private Client matters, including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Trust creation and administration
- Inheritance Tax planning and mitigation
- Deeds of Variation
- Deputyship matters
- Family wealth and succession planning
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing files from instruction through to completion
- Obtaining Grants of Probate and administering estates
- Preparing estate accounts and related legal documentation
- Advising on complex and high-value estates
- Liaising with professional advisers, government bodies and third parties
- Conducting legal research and maintaining technical knowledge
- Building strong client relationships through exceptional service
- Managing your caseload efficiently and independently
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Have between 2 and 5 years' PQE in Private Client law
- Possess strong technical knowledge across wills, probate, trusts and estate administration
- Be confident handling complex and high-value matters
- Demonstrate excellent drafting, communication and client care skills
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Have a proactive and professional approach
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
