Senior Employment Associate | Claimant Role

This London-based team advises on the full spectrum of employment law, with a strong reputation in discrimination and equality claims, often acting in matters that set precedent and attract national attention. The client base is broad and sophisticated i.e. from senior executives and professionals to individuals navigating career‑defining workplace disputes.

The Role

You will take a senior, visible role within the team, with responsibility for:

  • Leading complex employment tribunal litigation, particularly discrimination and equality claims
  • Advising on redundancy exercises and restructures, including risk management and strategy
  • Managing employment terminations and negotiated exits, often involving sensitive circumstances
  • Advising on and supporting TUPE transfers
  • Drafting, reviewing and advising on employment contracts and related documentation
  • Running your own caseload and acting as the principal point of contact for clients
  • Leading client meetings and managing negotiations independently
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the team

Requirements

  • UK qualified with 3+PQE in Employment law
  • Strong background in discrimination and employment tribunal litigation
  • Proven experience advising on redundancies, restructures, terminations and TUPE
  • Confident handling client meetings and leading negotiations independently
  • Experience drafting and reviewing employment contracts and related documentation
  • Comfortable mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
