Private Client Solicitor | Guildford | 4+ PQE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Guildford. This is a fantastic role for a solicitor looking to join a collaborative and supportive team with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality private client advice.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload while working alongside experienced practitioners who specialise in advising individuals, families, elderly and vulnerable clients on a broad range of private client matters.

The Role

You will be responsible for handling a diverse private client caseload, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts and trust administration
• Advising elderly and vulnerable clients and their families

You'll have the opportunity to build long-term client relationships, provide practical and commercially focused advice, and play an active role in the continued growth of the department through networking and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own private client caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Deliver high-quality legal advice with exceptional client care.
• Draft legal documents, including Wills, LPAs and trust documentation.
• Administer estates and deal with probate matters.
• Maintain excellent file management and billing practices.
• Liaise with clients, executors, beneficiaries and third parties.
• Undertake home visits where required.
• Support business development initiatives and attend networking events.
• Mentor and support junior members of the team where appropriate.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 4 years' PQE in Private Client.
• Experience managing a broad private client caseload independently.
• Strong technical knowledge across Wills, Probate, Trusts and LPAs.
• Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• A full UK driving licence.
