Job Title: Application Support Engineer (Legacy/Infrastructure)
Location: Remote (occasional site visits) Duration: 6 Months Clearance: SC Essential / NPPV3 nice to have.
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a key programme. This role focuses on maintaining legacy infrastructure, L3 problem resolution, and service documentation while transitioning towards modern DevOps practices and CI/CD automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L3 support and problem resolution for legacy applications.
Maintain/update service documentation and perform peer reviews.
Build and support CI/CD pipelines.
Manage Oracle 11 environments (RAC, RMAN) and Solaris 10 platforms.
Technical Skills:
Systems: Oracle Solaris 10, RHEL 8, Windows Server 2k8/2k16/2k19.
Infrastructure: VMWare ESX v6, Nginx, Apache Tomcat, Elasticsearch.
Automation: Bash scripting, CI/CD pipelines.
Desirable: Java SE 8, Python, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, IBM Initiate, GIS tools.
