Private Client Fee Earner
Location: Petersfield, Hampshire

A respected and long-established law firm based in Petersfield is seeking a committed and capable Private Client Fee Earner to join its well-regarded private client department. This opportunity is suitable for a solicitor, legal executive, or similarly qualified professional with at least one year of post-qualification experience.
The Role
The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of private client matters, with autonomy in managing files while benefiting from support and guidance from a collaborative and experienced team. The role offers scope for ongoing development, including training in more complex areas of practice.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Drafting Wills and advising on succession planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Inheritance Tax planning and the creation and administration of trusts
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Dealing with Court of Protection applications
- Exposure to or interest in contentious probate matters (desirable, but not essential)
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Have 1+ year PQE in private client law
- Be confident in independently managing a caseload
- Demonstrate strong client care and communication skills
- Work well as part of a team, while also capable of working independently
- Show initiative, attention to detail, and sound judgement
- Ideally hold or be working towards STEP membership or Association of Lifetime Lawyers accreditation (not essential)
- Be open to gaining experience in more complex or contentious private client work
