An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join a highly regarded Insolvency Team within a leading national law firm. This role offers the chance to work on high-quality, complex matters across both corporate and personal insolvency, supporting clients throughout the UK.
The Role
Working closely with the Partner and supporting two junior fee earners, the successful candidate will take a hands-on role in advising on:
- Corporate and personal insolvency matters, including transactional, advisory, and contentious work.
- Administration appointments, security reviews, and business sales.
- Winding-up petitions, bankruptcy petitions, and bankruptcy estate administration.
- Matrimonial home proceedings, transactions at undervalue, preferences, and misfeasance claims.
- Directors' loan accounts, LPA receiverships, and complex restructuring matters.
You will have the opportunity to work with a broad client base, including insolvency practitioners, banks, lenders, investors, directors, companies, and individuals, gaining exposure to a wide variety of interesting and high-value work.
About You
- Qualified solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE in corporate and personal insolvency.
- In-depth working knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016, and Companies Act 2006.
- Experience across both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise junior colleagues and work collaboratively across multiple offices.
- Strong business development skills and enthusiasm for networking and client engagement.
