The Role
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in managing complex, high-value disputes and driving the continued success of the commercial litigation offering. You will provide exceptional, client-focused advice and contribute strategically to the development of the wider Dispute Resolution team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse caseload of complex and high-value commercial disputes.
- Oversee and support the performance of fee-earners, ensuring delivery of high-quality, commercially-focused advice.
- Participate in regular team meetings to plan and manage workloads efficiently.
- Align team objectives with the firm's wider strategy and vision.
- Develop expertise in a chosen industry sector or specialist area of law.
- Promote a collaborative culture where open communication and innovation are encouraged.
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers, fostering a supportive and high-performing team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives, deepening existing client and referral relationships.
- Share knowledge and expertise across the firm through both informal and structured training.
About You
- Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience (typically 8+ years PQE) in commercial litigation.
- Existing Partner, Legal Director, or ambitious Senior Associate ready for partnership.
- Strong technical expertise combined with commercial insight and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to develop business and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Confident in leading client engagements and contributing to the strategic direction of the practice.
