Position Available: MRP Controller
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 (DoE) + Bonus
Experience needed: We're looking for an experienced manufacturing planner or supply chain professional with strong MRP knowledge and a proven track record of coordinating materials and schedules within a fast-paced production environment.
About the role:
Join our UK Manufacturing team as an MRP Controller, where you'll play a vital role in delivering the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) across multiple customer projects.
You'll manage planning and procurement activities to ensure materials, schedules, and outputs meet time, cost, and quality targets. Working closely with supply planners, logistics, and operations, you'll help optimise inventory, maintain data accuracy, and support process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate planning and procurement to deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule
- Release, manage, and schedule work in the MRP system, maintaining accurate forecasts
- Monitor inventory, minimising waste and controlling costs
- Maintain BOMs, master data, and MRP records through regular checks
- Communicate plan changes, resolve supply chain issues, and escalate risks
- Work with Goods Receiving, Stores, and Dispatch to manage stock and resolve queries
- Support non-conformance management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to achieving KPIs for schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery performance
What we need from you:
- Proven experience of a manufacturing planning, production control, or supply chain role within a complex manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems i.e. SAP
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials scheduling
- Strong planning, organising, analytical, and problem-solving skills
