A well-established and respected regional law firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its expanding Southampton office as part of a specialist Family Law team. This opportunity arises as part of the firm's strategic growth plans and is ideally suited to a senior solicitor (7+ years' PQE) who is looking to take on a prominent role with scope to influence the development of the department.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied and high-quality caseload of privately funded family matters, including:
- Complex financial remedy proceedings
- Divorce and separation
- Private children work, including relocation and contested arrangements
- Cohabitation and nuptial agreements
- Disputes involving unmarried couples
There will be regular referrals from internal teams including Residential Property, Private Client, Employment, and Corporate, ensuring a consistent flow of quality instructions.
All family lawyers in the team are members of Resolution, committed to a constructive, holistic approach to family law, including the use of alternative dispute resolution where appropriate, while also being equipped to handle contested court proceedings where necessary.
