Windows Endpoint Security Engineer - Glasgow Hybrid (3 days onsite) - 12 month contract

I have an immediate opportunity for a Security Engineer to join a busy Endpoint Security team in Glasgow. This is part of an Agile and DevOps-aligned environment and the role focuses on designing, engineering and operating security solutions to protect desktops, laptops, servers and cloud platforms at enterprise scale.

You will contribute to developing new solutions, driving automation, and improving resilience across large and complex environments.

• Work within a global cross-disciplined Agile team delivering endpoint security solutions
• Design and deploy new technologies from proof of concept through to production
• Engineer preventative, detective and hardening controls for Windows endpoints
• Drive automation across environments of 50,000+ endpoints
• Troubleshoot complex issues across OS, hardware, network and storage
• Continuously improve solutions through cooperation, peer review and retrospectives
• Support the extension of endpoint security into cloud platforms including Azure and AWS

Skills required:

• Solid background working in enterprise IT experience
• Excellent experience of Windows Endpoint Security delivery
• Experience in design, engineering and architecture for enterprise-scale environments
• Competency in scripting (PowerShell, Python or similar)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and organisational skills
• Interest in developing expertise in cybersecurity technologies

Desirable skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and E5 security tools
• Knowledge of disk encryption and operating system hardening
• Familiarity with Defender for Cloud Apps
• Experience with Splunk, SCCM/Intune
• Agile and DevOps experience
• Unix or MacOS system administration knowledge
