UX Designer - Product Design - Subscription Services - London - 3 month contract (Umbrella engagement only)

Are you a UX Designer looking for a new challenge?

I have an immediate 3-month contract opportunity for our client in London. You will take the lead on the discovery and design to distinguish their free and paid-for experiences. Your focus will be on creating clarity and trust while highlighting the benefits of upgrading, ensuring that customer journeys are both customer-friendly and commercially effective. In this capacity, you'll partner with teams across product, engineering, legal, and e-commerce to translate business goals into user-centred experiences that make a measurable impact.

As such, I am keen to speak with candidates who have

• A strong track record designing digital products, ideally with experience in e-commerce and subscription-based SaaS. (Work showcasing feature gating would be highly regarded.)
• Solid UX and UI design expertise, from discovery through to detailed design.
• Confidence working in complex or ambiguous problem spaces.
• Strong collaboration skills, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Figma and other prototyping or whiteboarding tools.
• A strong understanding of freemium models and how design can drive engagement, upgrades, and retention.
• Experience running and synthesising user research.
• A commercially aware mindset, able to balance user needs with business outcomes.
• Familiarity with experimentation, analytics, and measuring the impact of design.

Flexibility to attend meetings onsite as required would also be preferred.
